Pilot Partner Logging Flight on iPad

Getting Started

You should receive an email from Pilot Partner when your Fleet Administrator invites you to the Fleet in Pilot Partner.    Your First steps Are:

  • Create your Pilot Partner Account
  • Connect to the Calendar for Scheduling
  • Setup your Bank Account for Paying Invoices
  • Logging your 1st Flight

Create Pilot Partner Account

Creating your Account is Easy.  Just click the link in the email you get from your fleet and create your account.

If you already have a Pilot Partner account, when your flying club invites you, you will automatically get access to the Flying Club in Pilot Partner with no action or email required.

If you or your fleet is having trouble, ask your Fleet Admin to delete your Invite on the member dashboard and invite you again, that solves almost all problems.

Connect to the Calendar

If your Flying Club is using the Pilot Partner Scheduling system via Google Calendar, you will want to get connected.  This is a one time step that will get you connected.

Setting Up Your Bank Account

Pilot Partner makes it easy to pay your flying club invoices.   Depending on your Flying Clubs policies you can pay by a Bank ACH Transfer or with a Credit Card.   There are transaction fees associated with electronic payments and your flying club may add those fees to your invoice.

Logging Your 1st Flight

Logging your Flight is best done using a mobile device such as an iPhone, Android Phone or your iPad.   Download the Pilot Partner app from the app store and sign into your account.

To log your flight, you will need to enter the following information:

  • Aircraft Tail Number
  • Date of Flight (Defaults to Today’s Date)
  • Hobbs/Tach Start & End Time
  • Any Custom Fields your Fleet Requires (Fuel Left, Trip Type, Oil added, etc.)
  • Route of Flight:  Start with a “K” for most Airports
  • The other fields are optional for Fleet, but nice to track for your own logbook.
Important:  Be sure to log your flight immediately after you fly.   Use your iPhone or iPad and log your flight before you unbuckle your seatbelt and get out of the airplane.
